Vermont College of Fine Arts

After retiring from teaching in the MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults program that began in January 1997, I now return to participate in residencies and occasional workshops, and to welcome and listen to the Darrow Lecturer chosen annually from our many outstanding graduates. My long association with Vermont College of Fine Arts began when I entered their original low-residency MFA in Writing program in July of 1994. I have attended every residency since then as student, graduate assistant, or faculty member--at last count 50 residencies. I have loved watching the evolution of the college and am very proud of this wonderful program.
